authorities say her long-time boyfriend committed suicide at the same home just weeks ago. mccready is best known for her hit, guys do it all the time and 10,000 angels. her career was sidetrackedded in recent years. an early morning house fire on sunday. fire broke out at the home on 33rd street in southeast around 3:00 a.m. several other people inside the home were taken to the hospital for bushes and smoke inhalation but have since been released. the home's owner, 46-year-old jeremy calvary lewis is charged with felony threats and simple assault. investigators say he was making threats against one of the women living at the home while crews worked to put the flames out. d.c. police are investigating this morning a deadly hit and run near the noma gallaudet metro. this happened just after 10:30 on saturday in the 100 block of m street northeast. police say a pedestrian somehow fell into the road on the

another gun violence tragedy in chicago. >> a woman was shot to death on the same day her sister attended president obama's speech on growing gun violence in the u.s. in the windy city. she was to the to death in an alariy university hour after her younger sister destiny atemperatures the president's peach on friday. it is believed that the friend that she was with was the intended target. the family says the tragedy is surreal. >> it real hi hurt me when i found out it happened to my sister. i was just listening to. i was thinking about that and they called me and told me what happened to my sister. >> police are questioning two people considered persons of interest but have not made any arrests. more controversy surrounding the gun control debate now. congress' latest plan to crack
